Christian has over 25 years’ experience in developing, financing, constructing and operating IPPs across Africa. 

He started his career with 10 years at AES developing the 250MW, $700M Bujagali Hydro in Uganda, 183MW, Songas Power in Tanzania and 300MW, Ebute Power in Nigeria as well as the acquisition and operation of the AES Sonel, Cameroonian utility concession. 

He then spent 10 years with Aldwych International starting as a founder and was involved in developing deals across Africa including the 310MW, $750M Lake Turkana Wind Power and 90MW Rabai Power in Kenya.

Christian then joined Globeleq for 4 years, developing, financing and constructing 52MW Malindi Solar in Kenya and launched solar and wind tenders in Ethiopia and Tanzania as well as being a Director of Songas Power.

Following a year as CEO of Elsewedy Energy, he is currently consulting for Blue International on its IPP and mining operations in Africa building a strategy and supporting the completion of the Bumban II hydro in Sierra Leone. 

Christian has lived in Kampala, Yaounde, London, Nairobi, and is currently Dubai based.  

He holds a BA Econ & Politics and MPhil from Cambridge University.
