Gorden has 30 years’ experience in the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) energy sector. A Namibian citizen, he started his career as finance manager at NamPower, the national electricity utility of Namibia, where he was subsequently appointed as group chief financial officer, a position he held for 6 years.

He has extensive experience in all aspects of electricity generation, transmission and distribution. He established two regional distribution companies in Namibia,quickly growing them into profitable entities.

Gorden moved into the private energy sector 12 years ago, and has held senior positions in project finance, corporate finance, M&A and financial management at a number of entities. He also continues to advise Namibian parastatal corporations on their energy strategies and positioning within the sector.

Gorden maintains his wide network within the SADC energy, regulatory and public sectors.

He holds BCom and BCompt (Hons) degrees and is a registered professional accountant.
